almost done...

i'm in the middle of writing my answers to discussion questions (for crim 403), and i've been really disappointed lately that i've had no time to do any sort of crafting at all lately. the closest thing i got was going to Joanne fabrics two days ago and buying two packs of 3d stickers. i wanted to buy fabric but i couldn't bring myself to it. i knew if i did that i would just be making myself disappointed even more that i couldn't be crafting. i only bought the stickers because i hated leaving empty-handed.

it's so frustrating to want to do something and not be able to do it. after this semester is over, i'll be done with school for awhile at least (i've been working towards this for 5 years now) and then i'll be able to craft. all the time. never stop. i love crafts

Goals for summer:
*read lots of books
*make hard back and paper back books
*learn how to crochet
*paint a lot

finishing books

Have you ever finished a book and felt as if you were losing a friend? Especially long books or series. I feel bummed out that I finished mine, it was actually my first try at listening to audiobooks so I thought I would give the Twilight saga a chance. Yeah, yeah, I know. But I have been listening to it almost every day since the start of winter break in December and I just finished today. I sort of feel let down and want a bit more. I guess it was no Harry Potter - Deathly Hallows, but not everything can be nearly as amazing.

On a more serious (crafting) note. Me and Sara haven't been doing much! Gross, I know. I plan on sewing tomorrow. I make letters for my fraternity and we have an event Saturday in Pittsburgh so I wanted to sport some new flashy letters. I have really cute vintage looking paisley printed fabric so perhaps it will make me look more like I enjoy old lady style. Hah. Since February has started that means a new craft! I brought up the idea of perhaps knitting.. without! knifty knitters. I learned by hand a few years ago but I was terrible at it so I stopped. Perhaps this is our chance. So keep on the lookout.

NEW ITEMS ON ETSY!

Helene and I now have items up on Etsy!

We're really excited about our tiny books, and we hope that someone would please look at them! We're gearing up to put quite a few more books on our Etsy.

Soon we will hopefully be working on a collection of Valentines Cards.

Also, if there are any special orders of books you would like us to make, we are up for the challenge, please send us a cute email. =)

Now excuse me, I have to go get ready to watch 30 Rock. (!!)

Cougars

This is Sara.
I'm taking a break from crafting for a few minutes and me and Helene and her boyfriend are watching 30 Rock. Right now it's our favorite show and we're finishing up the season that is on DVD so that we can watch the newest season when it gets to DVD.

Anyway, I just finished making a paperback book with sweet nuns on the front. I'm getting pretty good at binding, and currently all my books I have been making have 46 pages. Check out our etsy site.

I want to be a cougar. Please let me be a hot 37 year old right now so can date hot guys half my age. ...Anyone in?

Happy New Year!!

Okay, maybe two days too late but what's the difference we still well over 300 days left! 300+ more days to craft that is! Thanks for visiting our blog. We are really excited about our new project and possibly over ambitious. So lets back up a few days, and explain how this all got started. Me (Helene) and Sara, who are next door neighbors and best friends, decided that our love for crafts needed to become a bigger part of our life since it hasn't been present in the past few years. To solve this problem we decided to pick a craft to focus on each month to either teach one another, both learn, and perfect. We will use this blog to document our crafting, post tutorials, and other random things. We want to encourage you to craft-along and to get excited about making things! Or get excited about us making things, you can even purchase our items our etsy shop. (: Okay, enough blabbing, have a craft-tastic day!
